The Downtown Angola Coalition Inc. (DAC) obtained its 501(c)3 status in 2018, has initiated several annual programs and events that promote community pride and togetherness. Several physical projects have also been made possible through collaborative efforts. By January of 2024 better known as the Angola Main Street, was awarded National Accreditation from Main Street America. Partnering with the City of Angola, Indiana Office of Community and Rural Affairs (Indiana Main Street) and Main Street America as a nationally accredited Main Street program. The program requires our organization to maintain certain standards in our programming and projects, ensuring quality and accountability in our community development efforts.
